The BMW X3 comes in two trim options:
- 30 xDrive: This trim features a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with 255 horsepower. It has an estimated 27 MPG in the city and 33 MPG on the highway. Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, heated front seats, and electric power-assist steering.
- M50 xDrive: The performance-focused M50 xDrive trim delivers 393 horsepower from its 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder engine with a 48V mild hybrid system. It gets an estimated 25 MPG in the city and 30 MPG on the highway. This trim includes sport-tuned adaptive suspension, an electromechanical limited-slip differential, and a fixed glass panoramic sunroof with power sunshade.
Performance and Handling
Both trims of the BMW X3 use an 8-speed automatic transmission with Steptronic and shift paddles. Full-time all-wheel drive (AWD) is standard, providing excellent traction in various conditions. The 30 xDrive has a curb weight of 4,176 pounds, while the M50 xDrive weighs 4,535 pounds. The M50 xDrive trim adds variable sport steering and M Sport suspension for those who want a more dynamic driving feel.
